A year ago today, I received a text message in my second period US history class that would change my life completely <3 My future husband had a dream that opened his eyes to a change that was completely CRAZY and RIDICULOUS. I thank god for him texting me about something so stupid, but wonderful at the same time. were proof that following your gut and doing what makes you happy is the best choice you can ever make :) I guess its sort of cliche but I literally made his dreams come true :)

I remember when he was elected in 2008, I stayed up until 4AM on a school night checking to see the status of each state as the votes came in. He’s an absolute inspiration to American politics and I’m unbelievably excited to finally be able to thank him for what he’s done for my country by giving him my vote in the fall. It’s disgusts me that people would find that voting for Rick Santorum or Mitt Romney would be a better choice. Obama is a goddamn American hero.

I get so angry when people just assume that because my boyfriend and I live together that we see each other every minute of every day. That we see each other at all times and have so much time together! I WISH! Yes, we are very fortunate to live under the same roof, BUT, we don’t see each other all the time. I have school, he has work. We have lives people. I go to school and he’s gone when I get home and not home until late at night. So if driving me to school and seeing me for 20 minutes at lunch is a long time for you people then YES, we see each other bunches! But that’s not a long time for us. SO YES I MISS MY BOYFRIEND! DEAL WITH ME SAYING IT!

SO, while venturing around LA yesterday in the freezing cold, we stumbled upon some awesome prom shit :)
Our intentions were to buy for Mario but of course I had to get something too!
FIRST: We went to Jetrag. AMAZING place! Got Mario some retro navy blue dress pants $22 and a light blue vest $12 with a cute little bow tie $8 :)
(Were going 1950’s prom this year :D)
NEXT: we went to Playclothes. ADORABLE. is all i have to say lol if you love lace, pink a pearls this is your vintage boutique. anywho, i got a strand of pearls for $12! super good steal :)
THEN: We adventured around a few more stores looking desperately for shoes that match with my dress. FAIL. we went to Hubba Bubba, Buffalo Vintage, American Vintage, and Iguana and found NADA for shoes. Apparently women back in the day had EXTREMELY narrow feet, there fore my wide ass feet dont fit :(
BUT: We did stop in It’s A Wrap! that store buys clothing from movie and TV show companies when they are done using them! so cool! all the clothes tell you what show they came from and what now! Needless to say, Mario found a super cute sports coat that is a pain in the ass to match shit too! lol its plaid, and a teal-ish green! it looks AMAZING on him but wont go for prom :/ it was only $35 so we couldnt resist. Cant remember what show it was from either lol
IN THE END: we got Marios out fit for prom started, got my accessories going, but still on the hunt for shoes for moi and a jacket for him :) Im thinking a white sports coat and some cream pumps for me :) We shall see!

oh, and another thought! March-full-of-maddness is almost over! it went by faster than i could have ever imagined! April brings the month that took a whole year to get here! The few weeks that changes my whole life last year! then MAY! OHGOD. EEEKK! i cant wait!! :D
so, about this time last year i was scrolling along my dashboard starring at girls with skinny legs, long blonde hair, and unbelievable tans. And i start to remember the dieting, and the running and the spray tans. I feel as though i need to start again, but just as i go to look in the mirror i cant help but remember that i have something different this year. I have a man that would be extremely disappointed if i lost one pound or became one inch taller and one shade darker. He would probably slap me if i wanted to die my hair or eat a salad instead of a burger. I have this guy telling me im beautiful regardless of what i think or what others will think of me this summer. so, i will be completely happy this year during spring break and during prom. When i put on a bikini in may, i know ill be comfy in my own skin because ill be told i look absolutely amazing by the person it means the most from. i mean, besides, his opinion is the only one that matters :)
